It doesn't not take long to use, but, the numerical system assigned to each household in order to contact them is fairly complicated. I find myself writing numbers down when I need to call others.

Yes. There is a complex sequence of numbers associated with each household. But there is no pattern to it, unfortunately. However, it should not be hard to acquire said numbers for each house, should the residents know it.
