13th Meal Served [Phone]

Everything is so pretty out! The snow, the lights... but I must ask...

What is Christmas? Does it have to do with that overweight man in a red suit Kakyoin-san told me about?

Christmas is a holiday where you exchange gifts with friends and family. It's really popular in my world!

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds like fun! I do remember hearing about giving and receiving presents. But what about the big man? "Santa" I think he's called?

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
He brings presents to all the good little boys and girls! It's just a story parents tell their kids, though.

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
So he's not real, then.

*Confused Iroha is confused*

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I guess some people think he is. I guess it's up to you whether or not you want to believe.

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Ohhhhh... I do not know what to believe yet. He sounds like a cheerful person and all...

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Jolly... There's that word again!

*Pardon her while she giggles*

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
It's one of the words people use a lot to describe him.

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
It fits him very well. A big jolly man!

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. All the kids love him!

Oh, and speaking of presents, I picked yours out at the store the other day. I think you'll really like it.

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
You... bought me a present?

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Of course! I wouldn't forget about you on Christmas!

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you... I'm so happy... I have such wonderful friends.

I should find something for you too...

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 12:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, you don't have to get me anything!

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to! But if you prefer, I can make you another bento instead.

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if you insist, a gift is fine. We can get together and exchange them sometime!

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay! I will still prepare you a bento to go with my present.

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You're the greatest, Iroha!

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-17 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Only because I have great friends!

[identity profile] pygmalion-perv.livejournal.com 2010-12-17 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
And so considerate, too! I'm really lucky to know you.

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Christ sounds like a very important person. Does he encourage giving presents to people?
(deleted comment)

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
So... if you give a present out of kindness and not because you want something in return, ne? That makes sense, I think.
(deleted comment)

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
I like that. I should get presents for my friends and spend time with them. Oh! I should make dinner for them too!
(deleted comment)

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Is something wrong, Abel-san? Would you like me to make dinner for you too?
(deleted comment)

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
All right. If you want me to make dinner for you or your family, I would be honored.

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... you repair clothes? I do that sometimes, but it can get overwhelming. I will come to you, then.

[Call]

[identity profile] heartstar-blues.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not overweight...

Or, wait, do you mean the real Santa Claus?"

[Call]

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
He's real?! I was told he was not, but people dress up like him as a symbol of the holiday. Do you dress up too?

[Call]

[identity profile] heartstar-blues.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh... yeah.

Because it's nice to believe in something you know? I wasn't really raised on the idea of Santa."

["Santa" delivered half opened packets of cigarettes in his day.]

[Call]

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
I've not heard of him before today. But the children seem to love him.

[Call]

[identity profile] heartstar-blues.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
"He's a legend. You be good, you get good stuff. It's a nice lie to tell kids but some kids really love the idea and feel special when they get presents."

[Call]

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Well children should feel a little special. And I'm really liking the idea of this large, kind man.

[Call]

[identity profile] heartstar-blues.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
"So do a lot of people. So when you get older you help keep the dream alive."

[Call]

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
I think I want to be a part of that, at least for the children's sake.

[Call]

[identity profile] heartstar-blues.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, normal parents wait for kids to sleep and put random gifts under the tree saying Santa left them.

He's fat, so sometimes they have kids leave cookies and milk for him."

[That's not why...]

[Call]

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
*She's giggling the whole time. It sounds like a lot of fun to do this for kids*

That's a nice reward for Santa. You get fresh cookies and... well, I would not give him the milk from the milkman.

[Call]

[identity profile] heartstar-blues.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, that's smart. Give him cookies and juice or something.

Be sure to drink the juice and eat the cookies before the kids wake up."

[Call]

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
Oh... I will remember to do that.

[Call]

[identity profile] heartstar-blues.livejournal.com 2010-12-17 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Good to hear.

Enjoy."

[identity profile] godtrolling.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Well, how it's celebrated differs from country or culture, but nowadays it's mostly a holiday when spending money is excused. It even starts early~! Some decorations are put up on November already, but I guess this town is just a bit more slow, which really should be no surprise... Mayfield is a small town after all.

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Our decorations seemed to have been put up overnight, Orihara-san. Did you put them up or did someone do them for us?

Either way it looks really pretty, if not a little bright.

[identity profile] godtrolling.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
No. It's not like I'd dislike Christmas, but I never bother myself with the decorating. ..Taking them down takes time too.

[Not to mention he probably spent every Christmas alone. No reason to decorate and remind him of that.]

[identity profile] lovely-crane.livejournal.com 2010-12-16 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I will help you take them down, as it does sound like a lot of work. But if it wasn't you who did it, then who did?
